The Best Harry Potter Memes of the Week (April 18, 2023)

People often criticize Tom Felton for his continued devotion to the Harry Potter fandom. Other young Potter actors like Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have worked to distance themselves from their childhood careers, but the actor formerly known as Draco has embraced it. I don't blame him for this at all. If I could make a living off of going to conventions and selling $500 cameos, I would totally do it. We are taught by culture to hate anyone who can't move on from their past. Take Norma Desmond from Sunset Boulevard, for instance. We mock her and Tom Felton for not moving on from their former movie star selves, but most of us making fun of them have not done anything remotely as interesting with our lives. I still talk about the time I was on the local news on my 13th birthday! It's normal to have some attachment to the past, especially when your past is extremely rad and documented on film forever.
